Jalal Tehrani’s most recent project is a new staging of Two Clowns and a Half, which premiered on 10 December 2017 in the Main Hall of Tehran City Theater. Rather than simply reviving the earlier production, Tehrani returned to the work with a newly developed dramaturgy and an entirely redesigned staging, offering a fresh interpretation of the play. The production opened on 10 December 2017 and continued its run through January 2018, reflecting Tehrani’s ongoing practice of revisiting earlier works not as reproductions, but as opportunities for renewed theatrical investigation and reinterpretation.
